SmartKnit Seamless AFO & KAFO socks for children and adults with Ankle-Foot Orthotics and Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthotics.
Each patented SmartKnit sock is made the same way that a caterpillar spins its cocoon - starting at the toe and circling to the top, resulting in a seam-free, wrinkle-free sock that fits like a second layer of skin, provides exceptional softness, and wicks perspiration. Socks feature a “heel-less” design to ensure a perfect fit every time.
Each corespun sock is knit with Coolmax Polyester and Lycra. Navy, Pale Grey and Black socks also have added X-STATIC - the Silver Fibre for additional anti-microbial properties to inhibit bacteria for improved skin health and odour control.
SIZE SELECTION GUIDE: As the socks have no heel, sizing is quite flexible. A larger size can still be worn by someone with a smaller foot, but they will sit higher on the leg. To choose the correct sock size, measure from the tip of the big toe, along the top of the foot and up the leg to where you want the sock to sit (allowing extra if you want the sock folded over at the top). Refer to the sock measurements in the drop down menu.
FABRIC: 97.3% Coolmax polyester, 2.7% lycra. The unique, high-stretch core-spun yarn was developed by Knit-Rite, Inc. to wick moisture, 'hug' the body and minimise wrinkling and bunching.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine wash warm. Tumble dry medium. Non-chlorine bleach when needed.

I really like these socks. They are soft and comfortable and easy to put on. They also stretch over the AFO well and don't tend to get sucked into the AFO and scrunched up like some others. Only problem is price (but this is my second lot, so I like them enough to keep buying) and the fact that we have a few little holes in our old pairs where they fold over the top and the lycra straps of the AFO (they are 6 months old).

My son has been wearing the Smartknit AFO socks for a number of years. He has very sensitive feet so these socks are just perfect. We are waiting on some UCBLs so I am going to buy the shorter version of these socks when the time comes.

These socks are just the best socks to wear with AFO'S they are soft and comfortable.They are a little more expensive than regular socks but one pair we had lasted for nearly 5 years, now that is real value for money.

We recently received two pairs of these socks in pink and purple. They are super soft and really comfortable. My daughter loves wearing them (not to mention the colours) and I find the really easy to put on. Not the cheapest of socks, but they feel like they are really good quality!
